GIVE A BUCK. CHANGE THE WORLD.
THAT’S WHAT EVERYDAY SUPERHEROES DO.
WHAT IS AN EVERYDAY SUPERHERO?
Comic book superheroes wear capes and masks and take on villains. Everyday superheroes look like you and me, and take on causes.
Childhood cancer is a villain that needs to be defeated. Why? Because while pharmaceutical companies fund 60% of adult cancer drug development, they fund 0% of childhood cancer drug development. As a result, the FDA has approved only three drugs for pediatric cancers.
We can do better.
G1ve a Buck is looking for everyday superheroes ready to take on childhood cancer by raising awareness about childhood cancer and funding its research.
Seattle Mariners Childhood Cancer Awareness Day Join the Mariners as they take on the Oakland A’s and childhood cancer. As a part of Major League Baseball’s Childhood Cancer Awareness Day, Seattle Mariners have teamed up with G1ve A Buck Fund to strike out this deadly disease.
Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to help fund childhood cancer research.
While only 3.8% of the National Cancer Institute’s research budget is dedicated to childhood cancer research, 100% of the money raised through G1ve A Buck will raise public awareness and fund much-needed research. Thanks to the generosity of everyday superheroes, we have recently donated $25,000 to the Jimmy Fund.
G1ve a Buck Fund, Inc. is devoted to putting the most funding possible into the hands of researchers across the United States who can cure childhood cancers. Doctors, researchers, universities and hospitals are invited to apply for a grant. Details are on our FAQ page.
